PACER Fee Increase Effective January 1, 2027
Effective January 1, 2027, the fee for Electronic Public Access to court records through PACER will increase from $0.10 to $0.12 per page for a period of five years. The temporary increase will help fund the accelerated modernization and security enhancements of the federal judiciary's case management system while improving public access to electronic court records.
To reduce the impact on most users, the automatic quarterly fee exemption has increased from $30 to $40, meaning users who incur $40 or less in PACER fees during a quarterly billing cycle will continue to owe no fees.
For additional information, please see the official PACER announcement: Temporary Fee Increase Effective Jan. 1, 2027
