    On October 21, 2024, the Bankruptcy Judges of the Western District of Tennessee approved publication of a proposed amended and restated Local Form for a Chapter 13 plan. The proposed Local Plan Form was developed by an ad hoc committee consisting of April Avent, B. David Sweeney, C. Jerome Teel, Jr., Carrie Ann Rohrscheib, Judge Denise Barnett, James Bergstrom, Judge Jennie D. Latta, Jennifer Cruseturner, Lisa Haney, Michelle Roth, Robert B. Vandiver, Jr., Sylvia Ford Brown, Timothy H. Ivy, and William Newell. The bankruptcy judges wish to publicly acknowledge these committee members and thank them for their many hours of service.

    The text of the proposed Local Plan Form is available here. The comment period is open from November 1 to December 16, 2024.

    Written comments are welcomed with respect to the proposed Local Plan Form. Comments may be made by sending an email to public_comment@tnwb.uscourts.gov. In order that all comments will remain anonymous, personally identifying information will be redacted from the email before the comments are provided to the bankruptcy judges and committee members. The bankruptcy judges and committee members will carefully review all timely comments. The proposed Local Plan Form is based upon the Official Chapter 13 Plan Form. The bankruptcy judges and committee members are interested in constructive comments concerning the substance of the proposed Local Plan Form, how well it conforms to current local practice, and whether it meets the requirements of Rule 3015.1 of the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure.
